Just wanted to say I'm still alive, and that I've been mustering together all the creative juices in my head to come up with topics for college essays that every time I visit the site I'm out of ideas for here. However, post January 1 I'll be all done with my applications and can get to working on some more good discussions and scripts and such. Till then, I'll still try and post just not very creatively.
First SporkOP to post something interesting we can talk about gets a cookie ... viewers post ideas beneath this post.
Spork.

ok, my idea... Is anyone else tired of Christmas? Ok, if you know me you know I'm a strong Christian. But I am sick and tired of what Christmas has become. I started seeing Christmas displays right after Halloween. This is rediculous.
Christmas has become nothing short of a two month long shopping spree where everyone maxes out their credit cards buying things no one wants only becuase it is customarily required to buy any acquaintence of yours a present. Christians should be sickened at how our meaning of this day of the year has been lost to commercialism. And if you are not a Christian, if you appreciate the holiday season for it's meaning of family closeness; you too should be offended that Christmas isn't Christmas unless there are boxes of gifts under a tree.
I know that this isn't true for everyone, some people have hated Christmas since they can remember; others enjoy it no matter what. But to me, I try to keep my Christmas holiday celebration to a remembrance of my Savior's birth (although we dont know what date he was born, Dec. 25th was a date picked by Catholics a long time ago. It is just used to keep a unified day of remembrance).
I guess my question is, how does everyone else spend their Christmas celebration? With family? Do you even Care? How do you feel about Christmas beginning the day after Halloween?

Yeah, Christmas is a horribly over-commercialized holiday, so what? I'm only in it for the presents, anyway.
