Well. It's been a long

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Well. It's been a long time since I've updated, hasn't it. Grrr, so busy, doing NOTHING! I don't know where the time goes. Actually, yes I do. Days are so short because I'm sleeping in till noon, which is like sleeping half my day away. Blast these holidays. Here's a little treat:

All My Friends
Made To Heal

Go listen. And for those of you intrested, on Tuesday, the 28th I think it is, there's gonna be a beta download party at ourladypeace.com in which you'll be able to hear the whole album and download certain tracks. It'll be bad ass I guess. That's pretty much 2 weeks in advance, which is cool.

Let's see, I'm really busy doing nothing, but basically tomorrow is probably not going to be spent updating the site. I'm probably going to get up, go running, then go to church, then do homework the ENTIRE day. Literally. Every bit remaining after that will be spent reading material from my World Civ book so I can freakin ace the next exam. Then I'll be afterschool for a long time most likely on monday, and when I get home, I'll probably do some more world civ reading. So I guess on Tuesday, I promise, to myself, and to my viewers, that I will fix this REALLY insanely long page. I'll display only the first 5 entries. That'll work. And you can choose like "next 5" or something ... or no, I like the "by week" so maybe like the previous 7 days entries or something, that might be cool too. I'll think about it. In either case, that's what I'll do. And then I'll add some real content, like explanations of sporks and stuff!

Happy Turkey Day! It's been a couple days since I've updated, I know, but with good reason. I was really busy with the exams I never studied for, the math homework I never did, the English essay I never typed, the assigned reading I never read, etc. Well, it's 1100 hours and no one's online! Of course it is Thanksgiving, but still, usually I see the usual people who leave an away message online, but I don't even see that. Ah well, at least I have a few more OLP emails to read, and (hed)p.e. is on tour. I'll have to see if they'll come here, which I highly doubt. Closest show isn't close enough, but I just happen to have a friend in that city right now. Unfortunately this friend doesn't listen to them, so they won't be seeing the concert. Yay, 3 more OLP tracks to post, here goes:

Life
If You Believe
Everyone's a Junkie

So go listen to those, they're great. This CD's gonna rock. And I'll probably this weekend, fix up the WAY TOO LONG of a page because I don't filter posts yet, but first I'll swap everything over to functions, then I'll most likely after those two things start writing my other pages, becaues just news and pictures is going to get old. So I'll put back up some of the cool content everyone loves like information about sporks and stuff. I still have all the old pages, so it shouldn't be too hard.

My OLP Sweatshirt came! Check out the pics of the writing in /misc/. Or the front, and the back. It's awesome. And comfortable! Now all I need is the new Spiritual Machines CD! I can't wait, it's gonna rock. I've heard a bit of it already. OLP sends me clips and stuff in my emails. They haven't sent today's update though! And it's getting close to 1700 hours! I need my Spiritual Machines fix! But for those of you who haven't heard any clips, here's some stuff I was able to find on their servers:
Right Behind You (Mafia)
Middle Of Yesterday
In Repair
The links require Real Player.

Today I got a 94 on a little exam, it rocked. Gotta study up for the big one on wednesday. Got some wonderful sleeping in during Study Hall, it rocked. Gotta love those study halls. Iain stole an entire pizza fromt he caffeteria today. Ghetto ghetto fiend. He's got a website on thespork. It's here. Gonna finish posting later, bye.

-=18:24=-

Wow, I got to talk to the guy that made/makes winamp. What an honor. And he gave me a link to a list of all the music he's currently listening to. Awesome stuff. Some Radiohead, some red hot chili peppers, portishead, pink floyd, the doors, Sneaker Pimps, all the good bands! So cool. Wish I could've gotten his autograph or something. Heh.

God this sucks. Right now

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

God this sucks. Right now I'm taking a break from yard work, I've been raking/blowing leaves all day, and my Dad has been cutting the grass. He finally caught up to me, to the point where I wasn't moving the leaves fast enough so that he could mow where I was blowing. So he took over the blower, and gave me this small window to take a break. He said to go get a drink of water, I could sit down for a bit, and then to bring him back some water.

It really sucks. And I really wanted to use today to study my ass off for the exams this week. But I can't. Oh well, only three days of classes this week. And then my brother (Dr. Worm) is coming into town. It'll rock. I can't wait to see him. Don't know what we're doing for Thanksgiving.

Anyway, I should probably get back to work. Wish I had something new to offer the site today, but I don't, stupid work.

Spork.

-=21:19=-

Yeah, so, we ended up running out of gas shortly after my last post. Hehe (no that was not intentionally done by me). anyway, I have so many CD's to burn! And this page is getting to be REALLY long! The loading times are probably starting to get really long. I'm sorry, I'll try and fix that. Hopefully I'll get a free moment tomorrow and I can write some code to show something like the last 7 entries? or do it by week? or month? And also, I really need to put up a poll! That'd be really cool, if I could take a poll to see who likes what, or who agrees with what, and stuff like that. I could take input on whether I should sort by week or month. Because I know none of you regulars will actually email me. So yeah. Screw all ya'll. Just wait until I post up some pictures that compromise your character!

Alright. Well. First off, didn't

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Alright. Well. First off, didn't take any pictures last night, and I regret that.

::tech talk::

Second, I fixed some of the code so that if you click a picture, it'll keep what directory you were browsing at the left, so you don't have to use the back button. I think today I'm going to rewrite all of thespork.com, utilizing functions. That'll make a lot of what I do a LOT easier. For instance, my next step WAS to pass all variables between pages, but that'll be a little hard, and just add more code, when I could just rewrite it all to use functions. Plus if statements will be easier that way too.

::end tech talk::

I added descriptions to /raparty/. So for those of you who haven't seen them, there are 15 new pictures up there with descriptions! Go check them out. I'm really mad. I didn't get to see all of keeping the faith last night. Apparantly there was only like 15 minutes left, but still. EDWARD NORTON!!! Anyway, gotta go.

-=23:09=-

Saw "The 6th Day" tonight. "Classic Swartzenager (spelling?)" (quoting Josie). Now, I don't want to spoil the movie. So I'm going to create a "rant" about it on another page. If you've seen the movie, you can go look at it. The link is found here. Again, only if you've seen the movie.

Tonight was a lot of fun. First, I showed up at 5:00. Then I walked to Starbucks. Bought myself a red eye, and Starbucks, infamous for their coffee, was able to teach ME a new term. Usually I'm teaching the old crappy coffee shop I used to go to terms. I tought them what a red eye was. It's dripped coffee with a shot of espresso. Anyway, they taught me what a BLACK eye was. It's dripped coffee with TWO shots of espresso! Cool, huh? So I got a black eye AFTER the movie. Am I shaking now typing this? I don't know, I can't tell (hehe). Anyway, then I walked to the theater, asked whether 6th day might sell out or not, then walked to the bookstore, then to NRM music, but I couldn't go in cause I had a drink, walked back to the theater, then I finished my drink, went back to NRM, checked out the Underworld DVD.

Well, the guy thought I was buying it, when I asked if they had it. So he started to ring it up. And I said I wasn't buying it. So he put it back (for some reason they keep it behind the desk). Anyway, it got me thinking. He did that little thing where they demagnatize the little strip on it. Couldn't someone go into a store, and ask someone to buy something or something like that, or maybe confuse the person into thinking you were gonna buy it. And then like say "oh, I have no money" or something. So they've demagnatized the strip. So then you come back the next day, pocket it, and walk out with it, without any sirens? OK. I would NEVER try that, it's just I found a flaw in the sytem. But I'm not one to steal. Anyway, Grant, you'd know the answer, if you read this, email me.

so yeah, then I walked back to the theater, saw the movie with everyone, and we all went to the bookstore. Then a few of us walked to Starbucks again and I got my black eye (the coffee, obviously, not the thing that happens when you're punched). Walked back to the bookstore, then I pretty much left. Very fun night. Good movie, too, had it's good share of twists. INCREDIBLE special affects, I loved it. Probably gonna buy it on DVD, just to take advantage of surround sound/clear picture. These are the type of movies to get on DVD. Though, I also refuse to buy VHS again. I need a DVD burner. HEHE.

Well, I fixed the scanner!

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Well, I fixed the scanner! And I set up a nice little system for scanning photos. I open photoshop, choose file>import>Hewlett Packard PrecisionScan. Then I scan the picture, go into photoshop, and it runs a little macro I made that will first crop the image to a size I've preset (the size of the photo) which will delete all the unneeded stuff from the scan. Then it downsizes the picture to 60% of the original, and automatically exports it to jpg. It's nifty!

So I put up all the pictures from Rach's party. It's all under the /raparty/ directory. And tonight, if I can, I hope to take some more pictures. Put them up. It'll be fun. Oh, and I also need to add descriptions to a good deal of pictures on the site. It'll be fun. Commenting's gonna rock. Stuff like "what the hell was (s)he thinking?" Hehe. Fun stuff.

Forgot to update yesterday, but nothing really happened. So I'll just leave it. I still haven't gotten my computer parts fixed.

This freakin sucks. My stupid

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

This freakin sucks. My stupid stupid AOL Instant Messanger stopped working. First I sign on, and my buddy list is gone. So I try to load a backup copy, and it crashes. So I go back and try to manually add all the screen names, but when I add them, they don't show up. How do I know? Because I sat there talking to Grant and he wasn't showing up on my list. Anyway, no AIM for me for the next few days, until I can fix this. I uninstalled all files, folders, and registry settings, yet it didn't help. Still the same errors. So much for those monopolist AOHell bastards.

My brother is insane. He's up on his feet dancing like a mad man to Rollin' by Limp Bizkit. If I didn't know him well enough, I'd think he was wasted. Or if it was Matt, I'd know he was. Hehe, here, I never did post this:

Spork:coffee::Matt: ?

b. weed
c. liquor
d. all of the above

Anyway, OCed my chip to 850Mhz, meant to push it to 900 today, but I got preoccupied ... all day. Got my CD Player back, and my jacket. Now I don't have to be cold in the mornings. I should stick my computer outside and push it to 1.1 gigahertz. Awe yeah. Anyway, I plan to install the scanner tomorrow (I know, I'm terrible!). I have this huge exam tomorrow, and I need to study for it. But what's even more terrible, is I haven't actually started studying for it yet, and here it is 9:20.

What can you know about yourself if you haven't visited emode.com?

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

OK. So I played a bunch of games today, but I did fix the double space error I was having. It wasn't putting in two spaces where I had typed two spaces. I also went through and added comment tags to all my code for the news include, just so I can see where I am in my code more easily. Crazy stuff. Went out to dinner tonight, and this guy had the most hilarious laugh ever. It was like the combination between a horse, a big guy who could of played football, and then add 20 years of smoking. But the guy looked normal, he didn't look like a horse or a big guy who could have played football. In fact, he looked like my physical education teacher from way back in grade school. Those were the days.

To add to earlier's post, church rocked ;) . Just kidding, although it wasn't that bad, it's just ... well, go watch the movie Dogma. Anyway, I left my jacket and cd player at work yesterday, so I'm not going to be able to listen to any CD's at school tomorrow. Bummer. Oh well, "Consequence you see will be stranger than a gang of drunken mimes." I'll get them tomorrow, hopefully, so I can get back to using them on tuesday. I found a new way to update the site, I can edit the code directly, it's kinda cool, kinda not.

I think I should say that if anyone ever comes to the site and gets an error, like "500 Internal Server Error" Then you should just keep trying back, and I bet within the next 10 minutes it'll be fixed. Because that just means I was updating the site, and part of my code didn't work. But I always test after I update, so you just have to wait for me to fix the bug real quick. But just in case, always go ahead and copy and paste the whole page into an email for me, and send it over to me. Time for some firearms (it's a game). Later.

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Anway, it's probably only about 5 hours since I've posted, but it's still sunday :). Church in 8 hours, score. And I have't slept yet. I probably should. But I characterize the need for sleep as a weakness, and those who sleep often are those who are insecure. Totally contrary to popular belief. One could argue that it is in fact the person with insomnia who is insecure and thus can't sleep, but one can also argue that it's the person who sleeps a lot that sleeps to escape the fears they wish not to face. Well, where do I fall? I'm spork. I'm neither. I don't sleep because everything major happens at night. Most people do stuff during the day, then they get home and that's when stuff picks up.

Anyway, tonight I burned 9 CD's (3 red, 3 blue, 3 green) and one coaster (it was a red one, for those wondering). During all this, I played games, surfed the web, and talked on the phone. And I only produced one coaster, which wasn't because of a buffer underrun, it was because I have 8x CD's and I tried to burn them at 12x. Oops. Anyway, my burner rocks. I made all those CDs in about 2 hours. It rocked. And I still have 40 left in the spindle (about a third left of each color). Oh, forgot I burned Rach a CD, so I have 39. Anyway, I wish they'd just announce the stupid election, I've lost all my enthusiasm now that's it been so long. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted.

Watched die hard last night, great movie. I suggest it. Now I just need to see the other two. Though, I've seen the ending to whichever one is in an airport. I need to hook up the damn scanner soon, or else there will be nothing but text here. I also think it's time to limit the number of news posts on here, so that this page doesn't get too long. Actually, it's already incredibly long as it is. Well, 1:20 in the morning, I'm hitting the sack. Later

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Well, my computer in fact has not been overheating afterall, I think I just have a screwed up thermal sensor. Anyway, I haven't done much updating with thespork, because of the screwed up computer. But I still need to fix the screwed up thermal sensor, so that means I won't be able to do it. But I will say one thing, I think I figured out a way that I'm going to make a lot of money. It won't be too quick, but it'll give me something to do, let's just say.

I wanted to go out tonight, being it's a saturday and all, but no one could do anything. So we didn't go out tonight. Oh well. Anyway, gonna go play some counter-strike. Later.

Spork.

Well, my new computer parts

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Well, my new computer parts that I put together seem to be overheating. My computer is running at above 50 degrees celsius, which is definitely way too hot. But I'm doing it anyway for the moment, because I HAVE to. I have to quickly update thespork and then copy some files to my bro's computer so I can do some work needed to be done. So, that's what is going on, I should be applying some thermal grease on the processor tomorrow to cool it down. Later.

Spork.

Wow. Florida recount. Heavy stuff. Anyway, today I got my computer all working. so you know, yesterday I got some computer parts finally in the mail that I had ordered a week ago.

::tech talk::
It was an 800Mhz P3 SECC2 processor, which I'm going to overclock to 1GHz. A 128M slot of no name brand PC133 RAM (score). Abit BE6-II 1.2 Motherboard, with overclocking capabilities (nice!). Then some stuff for my sister, and the coolest thing, was my 12x write, 10x rewrite, and 32x read burner that can read and write in RAW mode. It's nice. Can't wait to grab some 80 minute CD's.

It was fun, cause I couldn't find this clamp to clamp on my processor to my heatsink/fan combo, and so my processor was getting over 70 degrees Celsius and I kept having to turn it off. Then I realized that I needed a clamp, looked around for it, and then I finally actually found the clamp (which was pretty good considering I didn't know WHAT exactly I was looking for). Most my software is finished with the reinstall process (I had to reinstall win2k because I switched motherboards on it).
::end tech talk::

so yeah. I don't think I'll have any time today to do anything to thespork.com, except maybe later on tonight try and fix the scanner to work with the new stuff. Listenin' to some live Incubus concert (current track "redefine"); score. I still need to figure out how to allow for writing to text file again, I can't figure out how I broke it. Oh well. I want to see Charlie's Angel's again. "It was the Chad".

My dog is incredibly smart.

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

My dog is incredibly smart. You can see his picture to the left if you'd like. Elwood.jpg and stuff. He knows that when the phone rings 3 tones, there's someone at the front door. And it's weird, because he's never been to the front door more than a couple times in his life. But he'll start growling and barking. Very strange, yet really cool.

Well, today I went in and got my orientation to this place that does recordings for the blind and stuff. It's kind of cool, I'm going to start volunteering there so I can get some service hours. They take text books and record them to cassette (sometimes more than 20 cassettes). Plus with the service hours I got the other day, I think I'll have my requirements soon. Unless I need three places, which is most likely, but I'll just get involved in church or something.

After tonight, all the elections will be over. That means we can finally go back to things being normal (hopefully). I promised some people, but more importantly myself, that I would get nice again after the election. So I'm gonna change back to the good me. Ha! Which reminds me of "the good spork" and "the bad spork" if people can remember that. I know the Portugerian would appreciate that. I miss that guy, he was awesome. CJ, if you're reading this, hope you're liking your new home.

Eve 6 concert on thursday. I was suppose to go, but let's just say "something came up". Once again, I'm denied the chance to see another concert. I wonder if I'll ever go to a concert in my life? My "predecessors" ruined it for me though. If only the concert were on a weekend. And I mean EVE friggen 6! Let's see ... the scanner is STILL not working. It's plugged in, drivers are installed, yet Windows 2000 does not see the scanner. I don't know why. Stupid Hewlett Packard. Oh well. I'll keep trying.

Spork.

Well, I went to see

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Well, I went to see Charlie's Angels tonight. "It rocked many a caspa." I definitely am going to go buy the DVD when it comes out. And it had an excellent sound track. First song of the movie was Blind by KoRn. Somewhere in the middle was "I think I'm turning Japanese", and then towards the end they did Blind AGAIN, this time with the "are you ready" words. And then in the credits they did "All the Small Things" by Blink 182. Excellent stuff.

Dinner was fun as well. Tonight would have been a good example of when I should bring the digital camera I wish I had. But I don't own one. So I couldn't. So I couldn't post to the site. Bummer. But oh well, hopefully I can fix the friggen scanner and scan the rest of rachdawg's party so I can post those up to satisfy my belgian, norwegian, and milanese friends (hehe, j/k), and of course, you all.

Anyway, go see Charlie's Angels, go listen to Dogma by KMFDM, and vote tomorrow if you can. I won't say who to vote for.

Spork.

OK. No school tomorrow, hurray.

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

OK. No school tomorrow, hurray. Also, everyone who can remember to vote on Tuesday. I'm not going to tell you who to vote for, just to vote seriously. Don't be like some people and just vote green party because it's fun. Pick who you think would do the best job running our country, or your state. I'm not going to say go vote bush or northup because I'm for both, just vote who you feel should do the job.

Alright, on to the website. Fixed the problem with the updates being displayed in chronological order, it's now reverse chronological order so that the most recent news post will be first. Next I'll move on to the text formatting and javascript, which won't require any code. In fact, I'm not going to post another update after I finish doing that, so I'll just say right now. If you see much better colors and such, then that's cause I've completed the coloring. If not, just wait, it'll come in 10 or 20 minutes (which means you're reading this right after I posted it). So, I'll get to work! And maybe after that, I'll scan the rest of the pictures and post 'em up!

Spork.

OK, well, it seems that

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

OK, well, it seems that I've redone this whole look. I've also finally figured out what I'm going to do with Thespork.com. To the left, you see picture files. I'm going to keep a "photo album" of pictures from various events through the year. I hope to eventually get a digital camera to bring to school and various other events, so I can always take pictures and add them to the site.

::begin technical talk::

You'll notice here, on the right, a news type section. This is where I will post various rants, news updates, or just what's on my mind. You'll be able to tell what's going down and what's not. At the bottom, you still can see what we all have grown to love, the random fight club quote generator.

Let's see, what else is new? There's a back button on the pictures viewer now. Also, the old pics.asp will still work, but it's more fun to use the index.asp page to view the pictures at the left. If you don't know what I'm talking about, don't worry about it.

What do I plan for the future? There's a few things I want to work out. One, certain bugs in the picture viewer in which if you don't have certain backslashes and stuff, it doesn't work, which will be simple to work out. Also, I want to eventually move the picture viewer over to the area where the news currently is, so you don't have to leave this nice little interface when you want to see a picture. I still have some database things to work out, I can't figure out whats wrong with my database, eventually I want to get away from text files. And lastly, notice how right now the most recent update is at the END of the page, instead of at the beginning? Well, I need to fix that as well. I'll figure out how soon. Hopefully this weekend. And ONCE AGAIN! if you don't know what I'm talking about, like if it's too technical for you, then don't worry about it.

I also need to work out a few other kinks, but if you ever get any errors, always message me. Include in the email a copy and paste of the entire page error, and the link in your address bar at the top.

::end technical talk::

OK! Now, for those of you who didn't understand that, that's ok. Just use the site to see the pictures at the left, I've got some more from rachel's party (found in the /raparty/ directory) to post. There's about 20 pictures, and I think I have ONE up. Also, I've got some doomsday pictures that Brennan Clark sent me, and if any of you all want to send in pictures, please do! Send them to heartsblood1@home.com.

Well, I'm off now. Until next time, Spork.

17:42

Added note: I plan to make everything a lot "prettier" for the technically challanged. Also, now the little picture at the top will point to a randomly chosen domain of mine. So it'll choose one of my domains (johnhanauer.com, net, org and thespork.com) and make it the link. This is just sort of a joke, or something. But it's cool. And to explain myself, the johnhanauer.com-org's were free, given to me by register.com because I'm a "valued customer. I would never dream of paying for them. I would never dream of even getting them for free, but I suddenly got an email one day, and I was just like "alright, sure, whatever" and took the "free offer". So I have them for a year.
