well, now that good 'ole sporky has fixed his shit i guess i can post again....not much going on, i was grounded all weekend so i forgot what the outside world looks like, though, dosn't josh look like the kid from neverenging story?
And the puzzle is solved! I finally realized what happened with the database ... back in the day when I made the news script update using databases, I created a script that would take all the .txt's and put them into the database. so basically it traversed the directory the files were kept and if they had the proper requirements (username, email, text) then they were added to the database with the same fields. only extra catch was that it would also add a user id, which was found by just looking up the username in the users database. Alright, so outside of being technical now, I realized that when the post page stopped working, I found a page that I didn't know what it did. So I just sorta ran the script. Nothing happened. Well, something HAD happened, it had run that old script that converted the texts to database. So basically, any entry that ever WAS stored by text got added to the database a second time, after the last post on the site. So that post about XP happened to be the last post to ever use the text storing method. So now, I've gone back and erased all the entries that were added that shouldn't have been. Everything is back to normal, and the good thing is that the news posting script works. Hurray! Hopefully the sporkops will start posting again. Now if only I could figure out why the poll script doesn't work ...

NEWS FLASH!!!!
Good news, I found where the missing entries ran off to! Everyone filter by let's say El Chef Penguino, and you'll see his entries! Their dates and ID's got changed, the text was NOT lost. Somehow everything got moved around. But I'm not sure if old entries were overwritten with new ones or what. But somehow the entries are there. I'll have to do some serious work on figuring out the post dates and stuff of all the entries now, but I'll figure things out. holy cow this is good news.

woohoo, somehow the post page seems to be working again ... it's 9:00 and xbox comes out in 13 hours ... I'm so psyched ... technically some stores it comes out in 3 ... but I want to buy it from my current employer because we sell this kiggaz thing called a Product Replacement Plan ... a PRP. What that'll do is for 2 years almost anything that happens to your xbox due to defect of some sort we'll replace it in any of our stores if it's in stock. Plus, we don't care how it broke most of the time. For instance, what if you have a ps2 and you use non-Sony hardware. Well, it voids your warranty. But our PRP won't be voided. Also, Sony's warranty is only like 90 days. Ours is 2 years. Plus, after 2 years, you pay the same price and it's renewed. You can't beat that. So yeah, I'm leaving soon, not sure when ... I basically have the go ahead from the parental units to leave whenever and basically promise to go to school when I'm all done. I'll probably drop by the house first and plug it in and watch the intro to Halo, NFL, and DOA3. Then maybe I'll head to classes. Well, hopefully when I hit the old submit button it'll work ... let's give it a little click here now and see ... oh yeah,

OK!!!!! SO I LOST EVERYTHING IN THE DATABASE PAST THE POST BEFORE THIS ONE. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH. I hate Microsoft Access. I'm in the middle of researching immediately into a different database type. I'm wondering though if it's not Microsoft Jet's fault. Regardless, everything is missing! That's like 2 months worth of stuff. Which means in a fit of rage, I'm going to rewrite thespork.com and release version 2 hopefully before the year is over. That'd be nice, don't ya'll think? Soon my thespork.com domain runs out I think, cause I got it some time freshmen year. But I think I have a little while.
Anyway, going back through the logs I found a great entry. 112. That made me laugh. I forget sometimes how great the past was. Anyway, going to bring the site back up now, and work on Spork 2.0 which I promise will be more user interactive. Especially for SporkOps, but don't worry regular users won't get left out.

hummmm..kamel isn't single...but then again he isn't a junior like the rest of the spork ops. anyhoo..umm sporky-son moded my old incubus post about actually writing a review, i never said that, but then i wrote a nice long one and my computer crashed so then i ended up not writing another one... the long and short is that our venue kicked ass, 1500 people in a nice small room, and brandon made some pretty good jokes on the room...(hey this looks like a prom room, prom means sex, who all is going to have sex tonight?). i also got out to the tool show that same week (like 3 weeks ago now) and that kicked major ass, to bad freedom hall sux as a venue, but the preformance was the best live show i have ever seen....Incubus = hella fun....Tool = perfect performance ....which is better i don't know, all i know is that was the greatest week ever created. so yeah there are my short and sweet reviews, driving home from indy at 2 AM in the rain is kinda fun when you have intresting people to talk to(they thought i was going to fall asleep so i had to talk the whole way home)

In other news, A group of photo II students just spent the evening at my house taking pictures in the dark. This is the new house, 6 Ridge Road, by the way. I hope some of them turn out really cool.
