Well! As you've probably already

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Well! As you've probably already noticed, I've finally obtained a digital camera. While I forgot to take it with me today, I did have it for three days last week. I'm not sure for how long I'll have it, being as it is my sister's. But! Everyone check out the pictures, they're in directories according to their date. YY-MM-DD is the format. It's very exciting. Plus, I just read yesterday how to adjust the aperture and shutter speed. This is gonna be fun, cause now I can finally take speed shots at up to 1/800 of a second of exposure. FUN! Before, when everything was done automatically by the camera, I had to let the camera pick everything. Now I know how to do it all manually.

Next! As you know, I've got the customize.asp working, and I THINK, besides the Poll Text Color, I've got everything working right. Background, other text, headlines, links, etc. It should all work. I'll work on Poll Text later. Right now I'm enjoying a project in which I'm programming minesweeper in C++. HEHE. Right now it's all text, no graphics, but it'll ask for the board size, and how many bombs, and it'll create a board with astericks for bombs and then the number of squares around it. It's very exciting indeed.

Last, I got my RioVolt! It's very cool. It buffers something like 120 seconds of mp3 audio and then shuts down. I know that the "MoJo" by whatever company will do eight minutes, but my CD player, unlike the "MoJo", has upgradeable firmware and the recognition of probably the most well known MP3 company, Rio (sonicBLUE/Diamond Mulitmedia is the parent company). But it's sweet, it's got this little external remote thingy and stuff. Combine that with my Optimus Pro 35 headphones and you've got crips clear quality limited to the bitrate of your mp3's/cda's. Even my 128kbps Nine Inch Nails Mp3 CD of every Halo from 1-14 sounds incredible. It's great. I suggest everyone buy one. I got mine from J and R Electronics. I then used this link to buy my RioVolt from J and R, using DASH.com. That way, I get 5% back of my purchase in cash. That way it covered my shipping and I didn't have to pay for shipping. That's very nice a lot of times.

I've been a little busy

I've been a little busy lately, but something that I'd been doing almost every day of the week for at least 2 hours a day has finally stopped, so I have a bunch of time on my hands. My next jobs are as follows:

1) Working on a program I'm writing in Visual Basic that soon I'm going to sell
2) Need to finish customize.asp
3) Need to fix uplaod script so I can finally release that
4) Need to get some legal documents back that will finally allow me to get working on my biggest plan ever (next to the program I'm writing)
5) school

So that's my work right now. Oh, and my bro is home for Spring Break. Sweet. Also, I saw A Perfect Cirlce on friday. I know a lot of people think they suck, but I like them, so shut the hell up. The concert rocked. Plus, it was my first concert. And my first time crowd surfing. Score.

Everyone go play with customize.asp!

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Everyone go play with customize.asp! Only the first to actually change anything, although all the forms are actually there. It's sweet. I'm going to impliment it into thespork.com definitely by the end of the week, so if it comes sunday and I haven't done it I won't sleep till I have. No email at thespork.com anymore, oh well. But yeah, check out that customize. It's cool. Give me a few days and I'll get it up.

It's a sad day at

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

It's a sad day at thespork.com. It seems that my email server which handles all the requests for stuff like heartsblood1@home.com has been added some how to the Relay Spam Stopper Blacklist. What that means, is that a bunch of email servers in an organization will no longer except email from me. Now, this could have been going on for ages, and actually, has no affect whatsoever on me. WHAT IT DOES MEAN, is two things. One, somehow, someone has been using my email server without me knowing and sending loads and loads of spam through it. This in turn, means the second thing. That @home found out that one of THEIR ip addresses has been added to the list, and so they port scanned me. That's what tipped them off.

Now, I called up @home and spoke to them. The guy saw I had the domain name thespork.com, BUT NOT the website. Which is good, because that means I can keep the website so that the THREE OF YOU that actually visit the site can keep coming. But, that does mean one bad thing. For those of you who have sites with thespork.com, I'm going to have to take down the ftp server. What I will do though, is replace it with the frontpage server extensions so that you can at least update using something. I know how much of a hassle this is, but, y'know. I'm also going to have to take down the email server. Which is bad for the 3 of us that use our email: me, fiend, and matt. I know this is a MAJOR bitch and a half.

So, what now? Well, I'm going to have to take down all the email servers. It was ACTUALLY only the send mail server that screwed everything up, but now @home knows about ALL of them. I'll also take down FTP, HTTPS (not HTTP), and a few others that I dont' need anyway, just so that the list of open ports goes down. I'll still keep the website here. I'm also going to switch off of Windows 2000 Advanced Server and move to Windows 2000 Regular Server sometime in the near future. I'm definitely going to search around for FREE email servers out there. I'm also going to switch my DNS server to public dns at granitecanyon.com. This is really a pain in the ass. But at least the website can go on. Besides, I NEED this website so I can test my asp code.

So, for the few of you who had email here, I'm very very sorry. Email me, now at the new address heartsblood1@home.com. Thanks.

Administrator.

P.S. This page shows that the mail program I was using is set up AS THE DEFUALT option to be vulnerable to this type of attack that tipped off @home. How fucking horrible. What I'll probably do, is lay low for a few months. Not use email anymore. Take all the other servers down, get my IP address OFF of the list, etc. Then bring it back in a few months.

Alright, well, I changed that

Alright, well, I changed that off pinkish color to green, and actually, I kind of like it. But I would seriously and honestly like some input on it. Anyway, I made the cookie that said you can't vote until such and such a day expire the day there would be a new poll. Most of you don't like the layout, I know, so I'm going to finally get to work on that page that will allow you to custimze the spork according to your liking. I know I said I would do that like 10 months ago when I first started using ASP, but I never got around to it. Also, as far as the upload script, it's all working, I just can't figure out how to get the upload part working. Hehe. Actually, I'll fix that right now, and then I'll do the customize script.

Screwed around with the layout.

Screwed around with the layout. A lot of thanks to Joanna. Everyone check out her site. I don't host it, I just supply the DNS name. But she's got a great site, and gave some great feedback on the colors. I'm definitely not done with the layout yet, going to experiment with some different colors, it's just right now it's 01:00 and I'm REALLY tired. Coffee makes me sleep (strange, huh?). So, I'm going to bed. Oh, and of course, including the journal.asp in the lower right is new too. I don't know what I'm going to do about @home. I'll probably call them or something and talk to them like they asked me too. It would look bad if I didn't.

Everyone check out this page

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Everyone check out this page I made. It's a journal of what song I felt like on that day, and then the high and low point of my day. Wow, big whoop. It doesn't even have color. Well, I know, and I'll work on the GUI, but the only cool thing I really wanted to show was that one I have a journal, so read up on my high and low points of the day, and that two it's all read through a database. That's for all you computer people who like to know what code I've been doing. Pretty exciting, it only shows the last five, I plan to include the journal somewhere on the site, it's just it's 22:30 and I plan on going to bed now. So yeah, check it out, a database of what I was feeling on what day. Hurray.
