Alright, last night (but technically this morning) I promised a full version update for this morning, but it's getting so late that soon my full update post will be up tonight but technically tomorrow morning as well, and that's no good.

Warning: this is a big update, you may want to split up the days and read it in parts

WEDNESDAY
Morning classes (Math and English) were boring as usual, I think we wrapped up our writing portfolios in English, which everyone has been freaking out about now that they're done, which I've never quite understood. I always thought that writing portfolios were one of those things that teachers freak out about while Diya and I joked about Ms. Collesano being OCD over the whole thing. Do other English teachers make an even BIGGER deal out of them than Collesano? Because while she made a big deal, I never saw anyone trying hard on these things, but people who dont' have Collesano have been rejoicing their completion. WHATEVER.

Photography was productive because I made a new print in the style of Mr. Jerry Uelsmann. I made it for the show at the lavahouse, which I'll get to soon. After school, I matted a few of the pieces I'd be including in the show, and then was going to meet everyone at the Lavahouse at 4:00. I had to first stop off at the Bluegrass Cooperage and pick up a whiskey barrel I'd been promised for the show. Thankfully, my pop works for a whiskey company so it's easy to have some strings pulled and get me one.

Well, as I'm leaving the photo room, Dylan somehow makes a reference to "wait, where are we going?" and I'm like "What do you mean?" and he says "well, you're taking me, right?" and I'm like "I AM?" and he's like "yeah, we talked about this, you'd give me a ride to all the lavahouse stuff" (and then it clicks) and I say "oh yeah! that was like three weeks ago I said that" and he's like "yeah, I just assumed you'd remember." So he and i go back to my house to switch cars (I needed the suburban to fit the barrel in the back) and then go to pick it up. When we get there, the guard lets us in (he'd I guess been expecting us) and this guy drives up in a fork-lift and says "how many we got?" I point to my barrel with my name on it and say "Just one" to which he looks surprised, steps out of the vehicle and says "oh" and just walks over and picks it up with his hands and puts it in the back of the car. We were very impressed. The guy then asks all these really awkward questions about my suburban and trucks and how much mileage and what kind of engine and I just keep having to say "I have no idea."

We then go to the show, and I basically just walk around contemplating what to do with my random ass barrel because supposedly Ms. Jackie Owens, the student teacher putting this show on for us, was wrong when she was all gung-ho about suspending stuff from the cieling ... we couldn't. After some thought, I finally just ask Bart the guy who owns the place if I could suspend it and he's like "yeah, sure, we got this crain thing over here" and we put this chain through but wait till the end of the evening to hang it. Dylan set up his really cool pipes, and Joanna her kiggaz styrofoam, and then DPK and I go home.

THURSDAY
Thursday was an uneventful White Day, the highlight being the One Blue Wall acceptance letter that Abbie Davis and I drafted. It went something like this:

It is with great pleasure that we inform you that your piece has been selected for duPont Manual's literary magezine, One Blue Wall. The pieces this year were so fantastic that we ourselves could not come to a conclusion as to which pieces to include. Therefore, we resorted to insanely desperate measures. This year, each piece was selected by a handful of illegal immigrants, WHO DO NO SPEAK ENGLISH! We are uncertain as to the criteria of their selection, but some of us theorize that it had something to do with font-size and spacing. insert random bit about coming by the room to double check pieces and then: The immigrants are proud, and so are we. Sincerely, One Blue Wall staff and "foreign friends"
During seventh, our humanities class went to the second and third acts of that play, and so I snuck up to the photography room and worked on mounting and matting some more pieces for the show. Afterschool, I did the same, and when Mr. Curtis had to leave, Dylan, Marian, Christina and I went to Dairy Kastle to get Orange Cows (orange sherbert and either milk or sprite). I instead got a flurry. Marian went to pick up her sister, while Christina, DPK and I went back to my house to pick up extension cords and lights. On the way, we saw some St. X kids who I said "god, what a bunch of Orange Cows." Since that moment, DPK, Christina and I have been using that term quite loosely to describe everything we see. "oh, Dylan is totally an orange cow." You can guess the connotation.

At the lavahouse, I spent some time wondering how I'd hang my pieces on my barrel, and to no avail, had to leave at 5:30 to go see my mom's student art show at UofL. Ms. Jackie Owens was in it too! There, I saw Scott's mom, Molly from Best Buy, Megan Metté, and Kim Powers. I went back to the lavahouse, and we drilled some random holes in the top of my barrel that I never ended up using. Marjorie asked me to stay there with her so she wouldn't be alone, and I offered to stop at Starbucks on the way back from Dylan's and treat her to some coffee. I took Dylan home, brought back the coffee, and Ms. Owens and I spray painted my letters on my barrel (which I dont' think anyone necessarily saw, but oh well). On one side, "John Andrew Hanauer" at the top and "Word" at the bottom, then on the other side "This Barrrel has reached the point of ultimate saturation" (the tripple r on purpose, to make fun of drrty and grrl.

Then Jackie left, and Marjorie did like two things while we talked (I didn't have anything to do really, I was pretty much just there to keep Marjorie company because she asked me to stay) and then on the way out, we were outside talking in the street and this car rolls up and pulls up behind my car (which I'm standing next to) and just sits there, and all I can make out are two ghetto silhouettes, and it didnt' take long for Marjorie and I to get freaked and simply said "ok, we're going now" and we both got into our cars and drove the fuck out of there. This was 10:30 when I got home, and I stayed up till 1:00 reading the stranger and doing calculus homework.

FRIDAY
All day I was checking my UVA status online. When I went to the show at the lavahouse, I still didn't know if I was in or not. In the morning, math was boring as usual, but we got done early so I finished some extra english reading I didn't do the night before (packets and poems tacked onto the stranger reading). Phil Becker and I discussed Morrowind, which I decided is an awesome and addictive game and I'm glad I haven't played it since the summer or I'd have no life right now (oh wait, I dont' play video games and I still have no life right now, heh). Photography I matted more pieces for the show, and then Marian, DPK, Marian's sister, and I all went to Diary Kastle again for orange cows. This time I actually ordered the greatness that is, the orange cow, and we cracked more orange cow jokes before heading off. Dylan and I ran errands from about 3:30 till 5:00, including picking up Ale 8 and oreos, kinkos, and my house to check uva statuses as well as pick up the mix cd's joanna gave me for the show. I found out I was waitlisted at Notre Dame, but still no word from Virginia.

Then, in the two hours before the show, I magically put together the rest of my exhibit by duct taping all the pieces to the barrel (which I was told would never work, but it did! Ha, screw you Dylan!). The show was an incredible success, a ton of people came (I invited as many people as I possibly could, and that somehow worked!) including Grant, the Geoff/Yuriy/Nikhil crowd, the photo I class that aide in crowd (Kendall Robbie, Katie, Morgan, etc), Ms. Cheever! (haha), Scott's mom, my parents, and many many more. Everyone I asked about my mom's chilli liked it, so I told her it was a big success which made her happy. Everybody's stuff looked great, my favorites being Dylan's rusty pipes with the kickass red lighting, the shutters and flowers of Isabel's (it went well with her theme), Marjorie's restaurant menu lighting, and Matt Fenz and Phil's hanging tire and shopping cart. The huge turnout was awesome, and it meant so much to all of us in the crowd that everybody came, thank you again people. Man, I gotta hurry, this update has one minute to still be today!

SATURDAY
This morning, I went to the lavahouse late because I wasn't psycho and knew to sleep in. There, I took down the barrel and picked up my light and extension cord (it took two minutes cause everyone else had done everything for me) and then came home only to find out that Northwestern had accepted me as well! huzzah. My parents want me to reconsider Northwestern now that I've gotten in, cause I wasn't impressed with it when I went to visit last month. I'm semi-dissapointed about waitlisted at Notre Dame, because I really liked it when I went, and I especially liked how you dont' declare a school until Sophomore year and a major until Junior year. But oh well, most schools are cool about switching majors. That only leaves UPenn to find out from, but that was my furthest reach school of all, so I'm expecting that to be my only rejection plus Notre Dame pretty much my other rejection (I know I told Joanna that waitlisted is just as good, but she was right ... it practically is just a nice way of rejecting. Although, they said only 600 are weightlisted, so I guess I should be honored, but their weightlist rate ranges from zero to 200, so I probably dont' have good chances. I'm still going to send them to keep me on the list though, I think ... I dunno)

So yeah, that's my life right now. Iain keeps reminding me he needs a date for prom, which basically reminds ME I need a date to prom. If anyone has any inside information about girls at school that like me, let me know ;-) haha. Yeah, I'll figure it out sometime soon.

Man, I didn't make the Saturday timestamp, it's now Sunday, but I cheated and edited the server to reflect Saturday anyway, cause I didn't want people to get confused.

Oh, and for the tenth time resubmitting this news post, I also (tonight) made this picture here in photoshop from this one. I was only messing around.

I will replace this post

I will replace this post with real text tomorrow, till then, in case anyone actually reads this before then (I'll try to update early morning) just know that I really appreciate all the people that came to the lavahouse, the show was a HUGE success and it meant a lot to all of us that everyone came. Rawk on. Also, I got waitlisted at Notre Dame today, and accepted to Virginia. Rawk out as well.

Like I said, I'll replace this post with my full post hopefully tomorrow.

| 15 Comments | No TrackBacks

Alright, first of all, I am now 4 for four (I just used 3 different versions of the word four in consecutive order) on the college acceptance letters. The newest added to the list is Washington University at St. Louis! Pretty cool stuff. That means:

Washington University in St. Louis
University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana
University of Colorado at Boulder
University of Cincinnati

And I'm waiting on still:

Notre Dame (Letters mailed Wednesday, the 26th)
University of Virginia (I can check online a week from tomorrow, the 28th)
University of Pennsylvania (Letters mailed April 4th)
Northwestern University (Not quite sure, to be honest .. soon)

It's kind of suspensful. Supposedly there was a bet between my mom and my brother on how many colleges I'd get into. My mom said I wouldn't hit half, Jimmy said I would. Thanks a lot mom, glad I've got your vote of confidence. So I guess Jim gets 100 dollars now or something (I have no idea how Jimmy was going to pay my mom 100 dollars if he lost, I guess he was pretty confident in me (wow, maybe I shouldn't hark on the guy so much)).

The only other thing to mention is that 20 medium hoodies came in yesterday, they're pretty slick looking, but that's the only shipment that has come in. I was hoping the rest of the order would come today but it did not. Schade. It better come tomorrow or I'm calling CafePress.com. But yeah, they look good, so anyone reading who hasn't paid yet bring your money so that when they come in you dont' have to wait to get it!

Alright, so I'm picking up

| 9 Comments | No TrackBacks

Alright, so I'm picking up my brother from his friend's house. My Dad was putting some air into the tires of my Jeep because their pressure was way too low. So I asked which car to take, and he tells me to take the Jaguar. So I drive and get Jimmy from Charlie Peabody's house, and pulling out of Falls Creek and when all the cars clear for me to go, I pull out. As I'm doing so, a cop comes over the hill, and I think OK, I better watch everything I do. So I can't remember what the speed limit is on Brownsboro (or is it called US-42 out there?) So I'm doing about 40-45, and then I see the speed limit is 45, so I'm like ok, gonna go 45.

Then the cop starts to ride my blind spot. This whole time I've been making comments to Jim like "uh oh, 5-0, better watch what I do" but now I'm actually getting nervous. Why would a cop purposely ride my blind spot. So, getting uneasy, I tell Jimmy that if he makes the motion to go straight on Brownboro, I'm gonna go the highway, and he if he goes the highway, I'm going to go straight on Brownboro. Well, it looks as if he's going straight so I cut into the highway lane and he jerks over as well, I go down the ramp and suddenly he turns on his lights. I'm like WTF!

I pull over, Jimmy's like "this is weird" I'm like "I didn't do anything wrong, he probably just doesn't trust two kids driving a Jaguar." Cop walks over says "Is this your car?" and I reply "It's my Dad's." I hand him my license, and then he asks for the insurance on the car, I pull that out and show it to him then he says "Did you know your registration on this car is expired?" I'm thinking "Great, thanks a lot Dad." I respond "I had no idea." He goes back to his car with my license and starts filling out papers, I sit there and say to Jim "Thanks a lot, Dad."

The cop comes back, gives me my citation papers and my license back, and Jimmy and I leave. What crap is that!

I know I had a

I know I had a good deal to update about, I'm going to try to remember.

Wednesday I ran and lifted, which was exciting, but that's about all I can think of for the moment that was big that day. My Dad got eye surgery that morning in which they cut into his eyelids and repositioned some of his muscles there to help fix his vision. Pretty nasty, I'm glad he's ok, but it's taking a while for his eyes to readjust to the adjustment, or something.

Thursday was cool because I went to the art show that opened. Noah, John Ott, Braylyn, Amanda Conn, some guy named Steve, and Charlie. I would seriously pay good money to purchase any of Charlie's self-portrait pieces. They're straight black background with the subject standing in the shadow. If you have not seen them, GO LOOK AT THE SHOW! It's incredible. This is probably the best show this year simply because they had so many good artists in one night with work that all went together somehow.

Yesterday, I get to English and Ms Collesano passes out runts to mark off groups (She had an equal number of bananas, cherries/apples, blueberries, oranges, etc. When I asked if Devin and I could have an extra banana, she was like "Oh, I just gave them away! I'll go buy you some more." and I was like "No, no! don't bother!" to which she then said "Oh, but you were watching the clock last class!" and I'm like "huh?" --> "You wrote on your paper a note that said you were watching the clock every ten minutes to find out that only 2 minutes had passed." To which I tried defending myself but later Marjorie said I was just digging myself in a hole. I said something like "oh, it was just a slow class, that's all" and she said "it was boring" and I tried saying "oh no, no, not at all, it just went slow." ..... hehe, yeah.

Afterschool I saw her again and asked to make sure that she didn't take it personally and she said that I was too good of a student to worry about a comment like that. I'm thinking in my head (yeah right I'm a good student, I hate english). She also told me she then took it into account grading my paper and wrote comments like "bored." Ouch. hehe. But I already knew it was a bad paper.

In photography, I finished my accordion picture. You can look at Joanna's here here and here, I don't have pictures of mine yet. Good news on the photo front, Parke won one of only two National Scholastics art portfolios! Or maybe it was only two photography, I'm not sure.

After school, I hung around till about quarter after thee and then Dylan and I got subway. I pulled out this free six inch card and immediately without me having said a word the girl at the counter starts getting on the defensive saying "please dont' get mad at me but those only work at the store it was purchased from" and all this stuff. I felt really bad for her, and I told her to settle down, it was ok and not a big deal. She said she'd been yelled at twice already that day by customers. See, now this is why I hated working at best buy for many of the same reasons.

Then Dylan and I saw the Lava House with everyone else. This place is going to be the location of our photo show on March 28th! Everyone needs to come, there will be lots of good food and lots of good art, it starts at 7:00. Seriously, I want more people then a VA show to be there (dont' know if I can pull that off though). BUT COME EVERYONE.

Then we took Dylan home, and Joanna and I went to EAR-X-TACY. I bought The Music's CD, which I really like. I actually had never heard of them until I listened to them at a listenting station. Very good stuff, and then I found out they were the opening act for Coldplay. Crazy.

Then I went home, and ran and liftend weights, which I'm about to leave to do now. I missed Joanna's concert, which I feel bad about, but nobody would go with me. I then went to Grant's house to give him a hard drive of his and to watch the happy tree friends episodes which are up on the website. EVERY EPISODE IS UP FOR THE REST OF NEXT WEEK. Then Grant and I met Jon Hills at Starbucks and stayed there till 11:30. A fun time.

| 2 Comments | No TrackBacks

While I really want the entry directly below this one to be the news post on TOP of my site right now, I have some stuff to talk about.

After writing that essay discussed in entry 785 (4 or 5 down) from this one, I obviously went to bed. However, this was 3:30 in the morning that I went to bed. NOT COOL. I got up at 5:30 and was extremely tired, obviously, and was incredibly lucky when my Dad started making coffee right at about 6:50 when I was about to leave. I decided to wait for at least a cup to brew into the pot, and snagged one out before leaving. This saved me from what probably would have been a horrible day. I was so awake!

In fact, I was so awake that for the first time a teacher told me to stop answering questions. Hehe. Normally I sleep in math class (first period, Mr. Davis) ... or at least fight to stay awake but can't. But the caffeine had me so pumped and good to go that my attention span was phenomenal. I was so awake I answered all of Mr. Davis's rhetorical questions like "what will big R equal." Three quarters of the way through class he told me "John, you dont' have to answer anymore, I know you've got this down." I tried apologizing and blamed it on the caffeine saying "I'm sorry, I'm actually awake today" and he told me not to apologize. English I turned in the shitty paper, and then photography we're working on these multiangle pieces, I'm not sure what they're called.

Afterschool, I ran for the third day in a row! I started out at 6.5 miles per hour and kept that for the first two miles and then decreased by .1 every quarter mile from then out. Then I went and lifted weights (which really strained my muscles, I worked them pretty hard) and i was afraid I'd be sore today but luckily was not.

Last night, my younger brother and I along with Joe (older bro) and his four friends that came home with him for spring break all went to Molly Malones. There, everyone drank Guiness or Black and Tan while Jimmy drank Diet Coke and I water. But it was a lot of fun, Joe has some really great friends and Jimmy kept making fun of one of them. Once conversation between he and Chris (the guy he kept making fun of): (oh, keep in mind that this guy chris is like a really BIG guy (not fat big just BIG big)

Jim: I play lacrosse
Chris: Yeah my brother plays lacrosse, I bet he could kick your ass
Jim: I be I could kick YOUR ass.
Everyone: ::snicker, laugh, "aw damn"'s::

We stayed till about 9:15, Jimmy and I, and then left the group to go home. They supposedly stayed and hit multiple bars around the bardstown road area. They even did karaoke at Wick's pizza supposedly.

Today Joe gave me his birthday present, and before I disclose what that was, it requires a little background. Last year, for Joe's twenty first, I went and saw Tenacious D when they came and did the CD signing at Ear-x-tacy. I got them to write "Happy B-Day Joe" and "Happy 21st" on it. Kyle ended up writing "Happy B-Day Gor" (huh?) and Jack wrote "Happy 25" instead of 21. Diya was there though and had Jack put a heart on it, which was funny. So Jack drew a heart. Anyway, Joe gave me my present which was Dismemberment Plan's autograph! I could have gotten this myself when they came to Lexington, but it would have taken forever and we wanted to get out of there. So yeah, all of them signed, and Eric did the happy birthday at the bottom for me. Even Joe agrees that he's the nicest of the members.

So yeah, that's exciting, and now I've some math homework to do.

Ciao, Spork.

I think I need to

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

I think I need to clear some things up.

First, I am profiting off of the Crew Team sales. Some people may not have been aware of that, and they deserve to be informed. Most of the poeple I talked to today to let them know that I'd be profiting already knew, but I did find three so far of the fourty or so I talked to who had not realized. I made it an effort to talk to everyone, and offer the chance to cancel their order. So far there have been no cancelations, but if anyone knows someone who might have been uneasy over the whole thing but too afraid to ask me, please let them know that they can cancel their order at any time, even if they have signed or paid. I will refund all of the payments made to the date and take their name off immediately. I'll deal with reselling or returning the hoodie.

For those who feel they are entitled to know how much profit, while that isn't standard business or retail procedure, I'm not deceitful or a conceited punk or anything, so I'll gladly release my business's quarterly earnings reports. First, there are 84 items totalling to a revenue of 1699.69 dollars. The average profit per item is 4 dollars and 4 cents, contrary to popular belief that it is 6 dollars. I have been telling people the hoodies are marked up 5 dollars. While true, this is an inaccurate idea of my profit for a few reasons. First, the other items are not marked as high and only three quarters of the orders are for hoodies. Second, there are other expenses such as shipping and teacher sales that are not taken into account when calculating my price per item. Therefor, the average cost per item after expenses is 4.04. Those expenses total to 1360.33 (base price per item plus expenses). Therefore, my profit on the entire venture is 339.36.

To those who are uncomfortable about this please again I implore you to simply find me and ask for a refund (or if you haven't paid yet anyway, simply for a cancelation). You do not have to wear a hoodie if you feel that I have cheated you out of your money. I also gladly will answer any other questions anyone has about American retail and the common practices of free enterprise. Feel free to pass along all this information and if any are wondering what I'll do with the money I intend on buying the crew team a trophie (with an engraving of 1st place in some fake tournament) to put in the trophie case (assuming I can somehow sneak it in as legit); the rest will go towards gas for my car.

"Thanks" to those sticking with us and "sorry no hard feelings" to those who are not.

Sigh, Anna is right. My site is boring. I've been trying for three years now to figure something out, but in the end all I have is one kickass and hellabuggy script that I'm only proud of because I wrote it myself. I never promised content, this whole thing was always from the beginning just an experiment and a learning process. It got me in to college, I'd like to think.

Oh well, I stayed up till 3:30 last night doing an English paper, I've got to sleep now.

I really am obsessed with

I really am obsessed with updating.

A little Manual Crew Team update, CafePress.com called me to verify my order. I guess it kind of frightened them when I put in two 6-700 dollar orders. The odd thing is they called to verify the second order, not the first. But anyway, neither order has shipped yet (and it's been a week since I've ordered) but they told me that supposedly their product manager has been sick all week, and that both orders should go out tomorrow. The bonus to that is that hopefully I'll get both orders in on the same day and can have the whole order ready to distribute to the team.

I ran again today, this time not outside (the weather sadly was much cooler today). I ran on our treadmill, but still could only do two miles. I'm out of shape. I then went and lifted weights, today was lower body lifting (yesterday I did upper body). I'm going to try my hardest to get back on track. I remember when i was lifting regularly that my abs had developed so well they were pushing in on my stomach and shrinking it. I couldn't eat as much while I was lifting (and I don't remember decreasing my rations enough to shrink the stomach naturally, so I do believe it was the situps I was doing to develop my abs). I guess I've some two months till prom, and I've got to get in shape! Of course, I don't have a date, but whatever. Any takers? ;-)

But it's three o'clock now, and my brother is driving home with some friends from Baltimore with that new server! Huzzah. I'm going to try and knock out my math homework now and then the short Crime and Punishment reading. Then all I'll have to do tonight is that HORRIBLE SIRENS ESSAY for Ms. Collesano.

Spork.

PS - They're putting all the Happy Tree Friends episodes up starting tomorrow through friday. I suggest everyone checks that out.

I'm trying to make up

| 16 Comments | No TrackBacks

I'm trying to make up for the lack of updates due to server downtime by posting a lot.

After I cleaned my car, I posted then ate dinner and then went and saw Old School with Jimmy (the little bro). It was funny, a good watch, but not necessarily one to buy on DVD or anything. Will Farell is always good for a laugh. Especially when he lights on fire in this movie. Good stuff. Luke Wilson wasn't bad either, but definitely no Owen. Afterwards Jim and I went to Steak and Shake and I ate away the running and weight lifting I did today with a strawberry shake.

You know, I'm really into this Evanescence band. I think I hate the Daredevil single (Bring Me To Life) only because of the guys that sing. Amy Lee, the chick, has an incredible voice! Why do they have to ruin that with Linkin Parkish rap/singing on an otherwise ok track? But even if you remove the guys from the track it's not their best, the rest of the CD has some real ... I dunno, power to it. I'm not usually one to go for bands like this, especially considering I'm over my Linking Park or Papa Roach days (reminds me of early sophomore year). But this album is just ... really good! I guess it's just a brilliant mix, a steady and stellar female voice with some powering guitars. But actually, the tracks where the music is just orchestral or the guitars drop out really make for the better portions of the album. This chick has a great voice, and she's cute! Very cute. ..... sign, I sound like Joanna.

So, two things.

First, I was supposed to be on the east coast this weekend. In fact, Thursday night we were in the airport ready to fly to Baltimore. But turns out, I was wrong about UVA having tours this weekend and then my mom got pissed at UPenn for not giving me an interview. Long story short, we decide to reschedule, and then turns out my dad's secretary thought the flight time was 5:50 when it was actually 5:05. We would have missed the plane anyway. CRAZY.

Today, I woke up at 11:00, watched TV in bed till about 1:00, and then ran two miles (wished I could have made three) and then lifted weights. I then watched Ace Ventura on TV and then when that was over cleaned my car. It took about 2 hours, but I did the whole outside, windexed the windows, and even vacuumed the inside. I was quite impressed with myself. The car was so incredibly dirty, it very much so needed the clean. Good times.

Tonight, I'll probably sit at home, but I feel like some Xbox. Haven't played in a long time.

So I have a lot to talk about, and I'll do my best. A few big things to talk about:

I did my Jerry Uelsmann thing. That was cool. I'll get some scans up later, but to be honest, they're not that awesome. But it was good for a first attempt. The first is Iain running on this cube, the second is Iain looking at the sky at a differnt cube, and the third is myself snowboarding over some upside down trees. You have to see all three to know what I'm talking about.

Monday was my 18th birthday --> huzzah, ladies I am now legal. Monday was spent in our local Best Buy getting a double pair of brand new Sony Xplod speakers installed, only to find out that I never needed new speakers it was my CD PLAYER that was messed up. So I needed a new CD Player as well, so I had to shell out more cash for that. But my new system is SWEET. The quality is just awesome. So I spent like two and a half hours on my birthday just wandering around catching up on old times. I'm thinking about getting a job there again, but I dont' want to sell anything. Possibly I can convince them to put me at cashier so I can get off early and get home to do homework and not have to sell!

This week and last began the beginnings of the Manual Crew Team. I've 81 members (I believe) and some 84 items totaling to about 1300 dollars worth of merchandise. Not all of that is profit, don't worry. But I am making about ... 81 times as much as I thought I would. In fact, my only goal was to MAYBE just MAYBE get a free hoodie out of it all. I well exceeded that somehow, dont' ask me. To those who were in it from the beginning, and thought it'd be something exclusive: I'm sorry. I'm just as dissapointed as you on this one. But at least now it's big enough to maybe get ourselves in the school newspaper or something.

Today I went and saw Yuriy's play at Sacred Heart. That was quite amusing. I'd no idea Yuriy would consider something like this. He wasn't ... totaly terrible, he was better than some of the people, but overall the whole production just sucked a large one. I'm used to YPAS plays (not being totally awesome but at least good acting) and more so used to Walden where the acting is AWESOME. So it just threw me off. Then Starbucks where topics ranged from such diverse topics as Prom to the more toned down Vagina Monologues discussion. On the way home, I took Old Brownsboro and went 35 in a 35 just to piss off the people behind me. They tailed so close I thought they'd run into me, but finally backed off when they realized that couldn't stop me from going slow. I got a nice trail of 3 cars behind me, all royally pissed I'm sure, and when I turned left onto US-42/Brownsboro where it two-lanes finally I sped to 50 in a 45 and did 70 on the highway. I think they were a little peeved.

But yeah, we'll see how long the server lasts like this, you can read the post before this one to see my plans for the future on how to better handle down-time situations and further prevention.

Spork.

Alright, well, we'll see how

Alright, well, we'll see how long this actually lasts. This weekend I'm going to take care of:

1) Doing some database cleaning and backup
2) Setting up an on error command for the AutoLogin() function (so that the sql server doesn't get called with every new aspx session)
3) an on error command for the news page (so if the sql server goes down only the news will be gone with a nice message saying "try back later, sql server is down")
4) Preparations for the new server

Once I get the new server (hopefully this month)
1) reformat this one (400mhz, 256mb, bad hard drive, no cd-rom, no [good] graphics card)
2) reformat the new one (500mhz, 256mb, good hard drive, burner, good graphics card)
3) Establish old server as Domain controller for Active Directory and internet information server
4) Establish new server as SQL Server only (and possibly an added Domain Controller)
5) Pray

spork
-ps - I've a lot about my life to update on, but I've forgotten most of it
