Sweet. Up until now, I

Sweet.

Up until now, I had eight (8) AP credits coming into Northwestern. This gave me Sophomore standing winter quarter of my Freshman year (for those of you who forget, there are three (3) quarters a school year, winter being the second). It also gave me Junior standing winter quarter this year. Eleven (11) credits is sophomore, twenty-two (22) is junior, thirty-three (33) is senior. Most people take 12 credits a year, but thus far I've been taking 11 (dropped a class last year, dropped one this year).

Alright, the math is complicated, I know, but basically ... 8 AP's, plus 11 first year, plus 11 second year is 30 credits. I'm taking two summer courses. That reaches 32. So I'm one shy of starting my junior year as a senior.

Well, my entire time here at NU I've never received my AP Computer Science credit (CS 110). So today I took care of that. BAM ... 33 credits once I finish the summer session.

So what, who cares, you're co-oping and throwing on an extra major, you're graduating in five years not three or even four.

Well, basically, only reason I'm excited, is I get a car this summer and if I get a co-op job I get it for the rest of my time at NU. But maybe, I can persuade the 'rents to let me keep the car for the inbetween time after summer and before I land a co-op job. With senior standing, I'd be able to get a senior parking pass as a junior and have a car without the hassle of street parking (there is a parking lot directly below my fraternity house).

Rock out.

Yup, apple can suck it.

Yup, apple can suck it. My iPod worked for a day. Maybe I should blame Best Buy. I probably should, actually, though I think if I can't find a better job around Evanston I'll be working Best Buy again after all this time only here in Evanston instead of Louisville. So maybe I shouldn't say suck it to best buy yet, even though they truly deserve it because they're going to hell for not having apple properly fix my ipod when they sent it to them.

On a lighter note, just got back from seeing Built To Spill ... fucking AWESOME. More later (if I get around to it)

I can't decide which is

I can't decide which is weirder. Zero, one, or nine fully grown finger nails.

I've been a nailbiter since I was eight, and it's completely habitual and if I could stop I would. Believe me, I have tried on a number of occasions. I bought the chili powder stuff that is supposed to make your mouth burn, and basically my resistance to spicy food (Jo can vouch) made that useless. I bought teflon nail hardener stuff and that would just make my nails look manicured. So that's zero nails.

In Vietnam, I somehow (and thankfully) convinced myself that if I bit my nails at all on that trip I would die of typhoid fever, malaria, and SARS all at once. Therefore, I did not until I had safely landed in Louisville. Obviously, considering I made it two weeks without biting once, I tried for longer but soon I had one nail left. Deciding this was weird, it eventually came off. So that's one nail.

Where I stand now is that I've actually found positive motivation for both quitting nail biting and having nails. For one, I love tapping them. I actually feel like its one of life's great pleasures that I've missed out on all this time, tapping my nails. But either way, my right hand middle finger is the only nail I seem to be having a very tough time growing (for stupid, OCD, uncontrollable, habitual reasons). So I currently have nine fulling grown finger nails.

Is that weird? Is it better than zero? Probably. Is it better than one? Definitely. Is one better than zero? Somehow I feel like that answer is no.

Anyway, yeah, I know I've been MIA for almost two months now. But hey, nobody's perfect. I think it's probably fairly obvious, but I should probably say that the need to update this website was finally fueled by a midterm in 10 hours that I care little about studying for, but really should, and so am procrastinating like a good little college kid.
