Well, it's over. (Dance Marathon)

And it was the both the worst experience of my life, and a lot of fun. Which means I guess I'm glad I did it ... but probably wouldn't do it again.

Basically, over the course of 30 hours it started at fun, then went to great, then to terrible, then horrific, then painful, then good, then great, then awesome. Basically from 4am to noon was the bad time when I was really starting to wonder why I chose to do it. Around noon I decided I'd just leave, and yet when another opportunity arose to do so, I passed it up. In fact, I sort of passed up a lot of opportunities to leave. Which is why around one o'clock I decided that because I clearly didn't have it in me to give up, that meant I was staying for good and for the next 12 hours. It was at this point that a huge burst of energy hit me and I did fine for the rest of the event.

Oh, but DM is stll nazi germany fascist regime.

PS - I am up at 5:40 AM CDT because of my irregular sleeping pattern. When DM ended sunday at 1:00 AM I was in bed by 2:00 AM and got up at 3:30 PM (all CDT). So here I am finally getting tired.

g'night,

Dance Marathon is Nazi Germany

Dance Marathon is Nazi Germany Fascist Regime. That's right, there is no grammar mistake there ... DM is Nazi Germany Fascist Regime.

Apparently there's no dancing in DM if you haven't raised enough money, and there's no getting out of DM if you have. I have in fact NOT raised enough money, but my fraternity has, therefore making me a victim to the nazi germany fascist regime that is Dance Marathon.

Supposedly if their staffers see you not dancing, they tell you to dance. If you ask to use the restroom, they escort you there. You get one ten-minute break every 3 hours. And there is one 90 second shower at some point in which I'm sure they lure you in and then let go the gas chamber.

The logic makes no sense ... can't dance if you dont' raise the money, give us your money and you can't leave once you get there (of course, I could always not show up but then Im' a bad person and my philanthropy chair gets in trouble ... although it would serve him right for not letting me find a replacement back in November).
