I made it to Evanston. And life is glorious again.

With the new year comes a new quarter. A quarter, for those of you "semester school" kids who don't know, is one academic term at Northwestern or any other "quarter school". We have four of them a year including summer, hence "quarter." Semester schools however, have three a year including summer and hence "semest..." oh wait ... that's right, THAT DOESN'T WORK. So really you go to a "trimester school" not a semester school.
This quarter I'll be taking four courses, as usual. I'm rather excited about what I'm taking, and I'll show you why:
(1) ASIC and FPGA Design
(2) Computer Architecture
(3) Mechatronics
(4) Transportation Economics
With the new year almost here, a lot of new things have happened for what I once referred to as TheSpork.NET.
First, a new server. I have relocated from hosting out of my parents basement in Kentucky remotely from around the nation to hosting with 1and1 . This means a few new things. No more Windows server; it's all unix from here out. Also, that means no more ASP.NET or even ASP. If I code anything here myself it will likely be PHP/MySQL. This leads to my next *big* new thing.
Second, we have a new publishing platform. What I also once referred to as TheSpork.NET and before that just "my scripts" (hmm, maybe I should have called that MyScripts to make it all WikiLike) is no longer availalbe for unix, plus it wasn't too powerful.
Welcome to Moveable Type!
