Well, I don't know what happened but suddenly the poll system broke and started overflowing. I have no divide by zeros, no large integers or anything. But that's ok! It was time to rewrite the poll script anyway. Gonna make it support multiple polls and view old polls and stuff. And admin polls just given to spork ops ...

But yeah, so I'm gonna take it down totally until I rewrite it. All the old poll data is always saved, so once it's up you'll FINALLY be able to look at that poll from a long while back. Like the one about selling crack :) That one was good.

Hey all, check out the filter you can implement from the drop down menu at the top of the page... great job by Spork, now you can filter out the crap and only read my posts.

Also, try to break it. And if you do, email Spork and tell him what you did and what happened, so he can fix it. Anyway, since I DO have school tomorrow, despite my wishes, I'll head off to sleep... and if you know of a cheap (sub-$1000, I'm poor) car that runs decently for sale, email me.

Yeah, so, I've made yet another beta testing site. It's the beta news script. I might consider releasing it in it's current state, although I was thinking about instead waiting until I had a searchable database as well. But that might take a while. So yeah, check it out, maybe later tonight even I'll impliment it out of boredom and you won't even have to click the link and wonder what I was talking about.

So I was thinking the other day of what to post. I realized that I haven't posted in a while so I was trying to think of somehting good to post, and decided that since I am an idoit that it wasn't possible for that to happen. So I leave you all with proof of my idoicy: Through expirmentation, I have found that gravity is not constant for a falling body, I have the data to prove it! I proved that Newton guy wrong! Hopefully my physics teacher will see it as I do and i won't fail.....

A little update to the

A little update to the incubus deal:

Incubus Fans,

Incubus will play their scheduled shows at the Hammerstein
Ballroom Saturday and Sunday nights in New York. Proceeds
from the shows will benefit relief efforts in NY. KROQ, NY
will match those proceeds.

http://www.enjoyincubus.com

from enjoyincubus.com:A number of folks on this BBS have been wondering what is up with the Incubus guys. Brandon, Jose, and Chris were in NY when this outrageous tragedy occurred and are there now as I write. Alex is with friends in New Jersey and Mike is here in California. Everybody is ok and happy to be alive. As many of you know, their tour is scheduled to start this weekend in New Hampshire followed by 2 shows in NY on Saturday and Sunday. As of now the band intend to play the show scheduled in New Hampshire on Friday. They are unsure as to what the right thing to do is in NY. Brandon, Jose, and Kilmore were staying in SoHo not far from the WTC and watched the grisly sights from their hotel windows and understand very clearly the pain and human suffering that New Yorkers are feeling right now. We're also hearing the growing voice of New Yorkers including Mayor Giulani asking people not to succumb to this terrorist threat and get on with our lives. I think the feeling in the Incubus camp is that if New York City is ready to say "fuck these bastards we're getting on with it", so are we.ooh .. scary. im glad they're ok. the show must go on. HOWEVER its not going on in dayton, ohio! whats up with this .. the tickets SHOULD be on sale by now ..-- jo

If tomorrow all the things

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.

I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.

‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

From the lakes of Minnesota,
to the hills of Tennessee.
Across the plains of Texas,
From sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Huston,
and New York to L.A.
Well there's pride in every American heart,
and its time we stand and say.

That I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.

And I’m proud to be and American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA

I'm not smoking crack, OR

I'm not smoking crack, OR dropping acid... so let's go through this...

"In the City of God there will be a great thunder, Two brothers torn apart by Chaos"
So, let's say that these are the Twin Towers...

"while the fortress endures"
Pentagon...

"the great leader will succumb. The third big war will begin when the big city is burning."
This is what hasn't happened yet... Bush is going to do something that equals "succumbing", and a war (3rd world war, it seems) is going to start... maybe the "big city" is NY, in which case it could start RIGHT NOW since technically it's burning... or maybe some other big city... but still.

That's about it... I'm not smoking, crack, Spork is...

I don't know what fiend

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

I don't know what fiend is smoking below. Probably crack, but maybe he's dropping acid instead.

A very tragic day yesterday. But when I think about things right now the neatest thing was listening for the first time to the lyrics of Proud to be an American. We fought for our freedom a long time ago. Many gave their lives for us. And we're going to keep fighting that fight of freedom. We didnt' come this far to bow down to a bunch of towel heads. There's this really great editorial written by someone in Canada, who listed off things that America has done for the rest of the world including help with earth quakes, wars, keeping peace, helping third world countries, things of that nature. And they kept giving examples of times that we've been in trouble and how nobody has ever helped us out. For once I give Canada a ton of credit.

OK, the new pics page

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

OK, the new pics page has been implimented. Now you can mouseover stuff and it'll read the information ... lemme guess, from text file? No of course not, from a database! So yeah, in my opinion it's very buggy, at least with layout. You might not notice a thing. But please give me input! I need a lot of it. I'm going to work on some sort of better layout for the pic viewer. Time for bed, it's a minute till midnight.

Hello all my retreat friends!

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Hello all my retreat friends! Here's a message that NONE of my normal readers will understand!

I am going to go take a shower, but I just wanted to let you all know that this is my personal website and I post all my pictures here. I'll try to set the camera to download the pictures while I'm showering. Then I'll post them up and if you all want copies then obviously you can either right click them and save, OR you can email me here and I'll send you the higher quality versions (they're BIGGER basically).

Yeah, so I'll post something else about retreat after I clean myself.

John (Spork)

Security guards are crazy mofos... I just want to know where he got all those guns. It's California, people, they have the toughest gun laws in the nation...

And here's a request: If you know of someone who is selling a cheap car that even I could afford, shoot me an email...

Alright, so, news flash. The

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Alright, so, news flash. The news script was rewritten. Again. This time, it's still the same it's just now it's database driven!

That's right, back in the day when I was first inventing thespork.com and on the first day I created index.asp. On the second I created polls include, on the third fourth and fifth days I wrote random fight club quotes and on the sixth day I wrote news.asp. Then I wrote pic and pics.asp and finally journal.asp on the seventh through ninth day cause the great programmer doesn't rest on the seventh day. I then debugged etc. etc.

Anyway, so back in the day when I wrote thespork.com I was doing everything in text files, remember? it's in the first post I believe, scroll down to the bottom to find the news archive. Anyway, now everything is almost fully database driven. What does this mean? I don't know, but it's less code on my part and probably means more overhead and slower download times on my slow 400MHz Pentium II! Hurray!

So yeah, what this means is that soon, it's going to be easier for me and the other spork ops to get stuff done around here. Now that this finally works I can create a link that will finally let us edit our updates straight from the site, rather than me having to go edit the textfiles/database. It also means I've freed up some hard drive space. And it also means, just like the new pics page I still haven't implimented, that I can make a page to search the news archive. But I'm ahead of myself, so enjoy the new database driven news page that is EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE OLD ON ON THE OUTSIDE SO YOU'LL HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S DIFFERENT ABOUT IT.

On to write my math writeup. Enjoy.

Let me tell you a

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Let me tell you a little business stategy. How does this sound. You have a website and decide to BUY a news company, and call it what it was called before just with your name in front of it now. Then you create a website as well to this company. You've got this new product coming out, and decide to make a press release quoting your General Manager of Marketing saying that this product is greatly anticipated and quote "Consumers are eager to get a copy". Follow? People aren't eager, but when you the consumer read that other consumers are eager to get a copy, you think "oh my, I need to go buy this product if others are eager".

Well others AREN'T eager. The guys allowed to give an opinion that's why you can't press charges for false advertisemnt, and here's the worst part, this is a true story. Everyone heard of Windows XP?

Consumers Can Order Windows XP Today

Industry retailers and major computer makers are responding to the growing excitement for the Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system by accepting advance orders for the software and by making Windows XP Ready PCs available for purchase today. Windows XP was released to manufacturing Aug. 24 and is scheduled to be available worldwide Oct. 25.

Consumers are eager to get a copy of Windows XP and don't want to wait until Oct. 25, said John Frederiksen, general manager for Windows marketing at Microsoft Corp. Consumers can preorder a copy of Windows XP today from one of several retailers or buy a Windows XP Ready PC from a computer manufacturer.

Don't believe the hype. Windows XP is going to suck, just like WinME did. Each windows version gets to be buggier and buggier the more features they add. Win95 while somewhat limited compared to WinME, is probably more stable.

So, I'm here in networking, and this update is more for all you MST geeks...

Mr. Jessie started talking about how all the MST teachers are meeting today (and other dates) to discuss how to revamp the MST program so it's more... well, more up-to-date. basically, we all agreed that R1M3 is the worst class yet, and that we'd like the option to NOT take programming. Hopefully there will be some better classes for us next year...

Oh, and is anyone called "Lil Lu-C"? I found your cell phone in the courtyard today, and I might just have to keep it, with the wireless web and all... nice little thing it is. :)

Ok, so... hi, I'm Fiend. In case you don't know. Spork gave me update rights, so now I can post malicious javascript code that will let me hack into your computers. I mean, no, I'd never do that...

Anyway, so you'll be seing updates from me every now and again, as I find things worthy of posting. But for now, I'll just shut up and leave you to Spork.

Alright, so, Joanna, Fiend, and

It's now 1:00 or so

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

It's now 1:00 or so and I just finished my U.S. History reading. Oh, I mean the chapter reading. I still have to go on to the primary source reading and then I can go to bed. Oh well. I guess that's the price you pay when you didn't do your homework all weekend until now. Not to mention you didn't read chapter 3 for last time so you had to spend 2 hours reading chapter 3 and then somehow slow down and take 3 hours to read chapter 4. Oh well, in my outrage at homework I'm listening to Limp Bizkit - Hot Dog. "If I say fuck two more times that's 46 fucks in this fucked up rhyme". How on earth do they let this stuff on the market? I don't get it. Oh well.

So yeah, I've decided I might make the news section database driven once I finish the image section. This way, you can search news entries, show just entries by Spork, Admin, or whoever else I eventually let update my site. I'd have to be sure to only give it to people who wouldn't abuse their rights (like the infamous FiEnD who'd probably post malicious (sp?) javascript code to hack all your computers, AND mine). There's more to my wanting to do this which I'll address now.

Anyone who knows me (which hopefully is everyone) can read my profile and see a link to thespork.com. Well, NavySEAL2B did some experimenting and in his genius he discovered the target="_self" property of the link tag which he put into his aim profile. This loads the link within the AIM window! All props again to NavySEAL2B. So yeah, this made me redo the news script slightly. Once I finisht the news archive portion of the script I'll impliment it. It's more text friendly and fixes a few things to make AIM like it more. So now that news script loads within my profile. Well I thought, cool. But what if I could make some sorta profile version of the news and keep thespork.com news section. So I figure if I make it all database driven I can make the link in my profile load a sort of journal in which I talk about what I did that day. Then that same page would load DIFFERENTLY when you went to thespork.com and it would be normal news updates like this one I'm writing now. If it doesn't make sense don't worry about it. You'll see the light one day.
