Hmm... interesting posts... I'm not a big fan of the genre (I've got Dashboard on my playlist... hardly ever listen to any of it, though) and I see John's point entirely, that's pretty much my opinion. Grant, however, makes some good points, although the money thing... face it, Grant, (Dashboard and J.E.W. at the VERY least) they're making more money every day, thanks to their MTV exposure and all the tennieboppers thinking they've found this cutting edge new genre that, as you point out, has been around since they were in diapers or before they were even born. ;)
Anyway, my point for posting at all:
Nine Inch Nails is more "emo" than any other band and don't you forget it!
Seriously, at least Trent's whiney voice SOUNDS decent. And I much prefer the music itself. Ah, John, the memories of our NIN discussions in P.E./Health freshman year..
