I just upsized the MS

I just upsized the MS Access database to SQL Server 2000. That was quite exciting for me. No longer am I limited to stupid OleDBConnections! Yeah, nobody cares. I know, at least I can acknowledget that fact. Only cool thing this might actually do is simply provide for full text searches of the news database, without much code writing on my part. I could have probably pulled that off with Access, but I thinks it would have been really slow, and also insanely hard to code. Now I think I've got built in support for it. Well, have fun kids. Oh, yes it's thanksgiving, so happy "Thank god we're not british because the indians saved us" day. Or we could call it "Let's celebrate the backstabbing of an entire race!" (Trail of Tears reference)

Come on Admin, don't you believe that since we came here with superior diseases and reproduce like rabbits, that the land should rightfuly be given to us? I mean, the Indians were only here for a few hundred years, they had their turn. Now, its the turn for the double tongued, gold thursty, war lusting whites to have our domain. That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

No, I don't believe that.

The thirst to be controversial is commendable, at best, however you're basically being a racist here. Let's also not forget your incredibly passionate belief (or so you've said before) in a religion that would clearly not promote any of what happened.

I'm sure you didnt' mean it this way, but by saying ".. the Indians were only here for a few hundred years ..." Implies they just lucked out and got the country earlier. Obviously, the Indians had been on the land since Pangea split (more than likely, historical evidence would show that I'm sure), basically maybe a hundred centuries instead of just years?

Also, it's suggested by your response that the white man is still taking it's turn. Trail of Tears happened in 1839, well over a hundred years ago, the white man TOOK it's turn.

Spork,

Sorry, my first comment should not have been what is was. I completely agree with your original statements: "Oh, yes it's thanksgiving, so happy "Thank god we're not british because the indians saved us" day. Or we could call it "Let's celebrate the backstabbing of an entire race!" (Trail of Tears reference) "

I made a horrible attempt at sarcasm. I do believe that what took place was undeniably wrong and should never have happened. As for the Pangea thing, I'm torn between that belief and the "New World" belief (as in the entire universe is only a few thousands of years old).

I am sorry if i came off as a racist as this is obviously a bad first post. I promise better ones in the future.

actually, I read it as sarcasm ....

Although when in doubt on sarcasm, we always use a ";-)" or ";)" for short ...

Oh ... and dont' sweat! And don't feel like you have to prove yourself, either ... it's all good man
