Nominees for greatest song ever!

I say we must choose the greatest song ever. Not your favorite, but songs that are arguably THE BEST IN THE WORLD-EVER.

I nominate: Rock the Kasbah, by The Clash

Genesis 1:12
The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good

Brit
Badly Drawn Boy - Once Around the Block or It Came From the Ground Remix track
Indie Rock
Built to Spill - I Would Hurt a Fly or Modest Mouse - Third Planet
Indie Folk
Wilco - Jesus Etc.
Techno
Daft Punk - Da Funk
Rock
Don Mclean - American Pie, or Eagles - Hotel California, or Doors - Break on Through

I dunno, this is list isn't necessarily my picks ... just brainstorming.

So difficult to choose... Dare I say Jumping Jack Flash... by Da Stones

Dandy Warhols - Get Off and Supergrass - Moving

dj shadow - midnight in a perfect world
radiohead - airbag, talk show host
alice in chains - rotten apple
dismemberment plan - this is the life
dave matthews band - crush

at least, these songs had or have meant something to me some point in my life.

and i have many MANY MORE! but as of right now, this minute, this second..

yea, alice in chains is a not-so-common pick for me, but man, do i freaking love alice in chains.

though i really AM diggin supergrass - moving. but no where is it near being the BEST SONG IN THE WORLD-EVER. but just in my lowly opinion ..

very lowly ... just kidding

crush or crash? perhaps I haven't heard crush ...

AIC ROCK! I've always loved them, but I think you knew that from like freshman year

Down in a Hole all the way! And Rooster, my gosh!

dj shadow - midnight in a perfect world. jo good choice. That or what i got by sublime. that's just one of those songs that gets you in a good mood everytime you here it.

-Jordan

Oasis - Live Forever
Oasis - Songbird
Oasis - Champagne Supernova
Oasis - Rockin' Chair
Oasis - Underneath The Sky
Oasis - F**kin' In The Bushes (for you, Spork!)

Okay, limiting my Oasis choices...

Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven(Do I even have to mention this one?)
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
Beethoven's 9th (song of ALL TIME)
The Beatles - I Am The Walrus
The Beatles - You've Got To Hide Your Love Away
Radiohead - Bulletproof (I wish I was)

Spork, your rock picks are two of the worst songs ever (first two) and a really decent song. Haha. American Pie SUCKS.

You just hate America, fuckin' Brit spy!

I say street spirit

"Now I Wanna Be Your Dog", by Iggy Pop

You know the government just read your website... they search for "hate America" and read it all... so now they're watching me... thanks a LOT, spork...

Street Spirit isn't as good as Bulletproof... :p

--Fiend

they're both not as good as airbag!

You're right, they're better ^__^

--Fiend

it's ok Iain Clinkingbeard (psst, the man, I know his address if you wanna email me) ... like I was saying, it's ok, I add a robots.txt to my root directory preventing search engines to put me on their lists ... this way the government won't find you!

But you KNOW that the government can get around that! They're the GOVERNMENT, man! Get my name outta here!!!!

;)

--Fiend

well, dude, you ARE a british spy ;) but that's ok, we like Britain (or at least we pretend to) ... now if I wrote the word "1r4qy spy," then you'd be in trouble, but luckily I used the code
