Alright, well, we'll see how long this actually lasts. This weekend I'm going to take care of:
1) Doing some database cleaning and backup
2) Setting up an on error command for the AutoLogin() function (so that the sql server doesn't get called with every new aspx session)
3) an on error command for the news page (so if the sql server goes down only the news will be gone with a nice message saying "try back later, sql server is down")
4) Preparations for the new server
Once I get the new server (hopefully this month)
1) reformat this one (400mhz, 256mb, bad hard drive, no cd-rom, no [good] graphics card)
2) reformat the new one (500mhz, 256mb, good hard drive, burner, good graphics card)
3) Establish old server as Domain controller for Active Directory and internet information server
4) Establish new server as SQL Server only (and possibly an added Domain Controller)
5) Pray
spork
-ps - I've a lot about my life to update on, but I've forgotten most of it
