Not only have I finally posted again on here (see the post directly below this) but my iPod is back from Best Buy after not working for over a month and being in the shop for over two weeks.
And it works again! I HAVE MUSIC AGAIN WALKING ALL OVER CAMPUS!!! w00h00t!

Thats what you for selling your soul to own the Microsoft Windows of the MP3 player world- an evil Ipod.
I bought a 40GB Creative Zen Nomad, and saved $200 off the equivalent Ipod, got better software for transferring from my PC, and other than not looking as cool as an Ipod (or having 50 lbs of accessories), has sound quality that is a little better.

Yeah, actually, it's not working again. I'm pissed, and Apple won't let Best Buy DEVO anything, they have to send any non-functioning ipods to them first and apple does all repairs and such and if necessary sends back to best buy saying "replace."
Consequently, I have a half-functioning MP3 player that Apple is never going to fix. Cause it's a 40GB hard drive that when they test it they only fill it with 100 songs and make sure those 100 songs play, and then they reformat. But whenever I put my whole collection on their the thing fucks up.
I hate Apple.

i'm looking at getting an MP3 player for my birthday. I don't want an iPod just because everyone and their mother has one and those that I know that have one say they have serious durability issues. Got any suggestions for places to buy a good MP3 player? BestBuy only sells iPod mini's and crappy 5gig players for $200.
Umm, online is always the best place to look. Like Brian said above, the Creative Zen Nomad is pretty sweet, if you want to avoid the iPod.
Otherwise, I don't really pay attention to anything but the apple market share just because SERIOUSLY apple is making white the new communist red.
